==Character Outline==

Vitus is a young man with a toned-muscular build and short black hair. Initially lacking combat experience, he receives training from [[Peirastes]] and gains a great level of skill. His willingness to go on dangerous missions is evidence that he possesses a large amount of courage for such a novice warrior.

==Vengeance==
Vitus is one of three who have done well in their combat training under Pierastes. He is granted[[File:Vitusspartacus.jpg|thumb|left|Vitus informs [[Spartacus]] that he will "kill many Romans".]]a sword following the success of his training and as a result becomes one of the rebel's fighters. Seeing his leader returns, he then expresses to Spartacus that he will kill many Romans.

When it is found out the [[Gaius Claudius Glaber]], a Praetor of the Republic, has been dispatched from Rome to put down the rebel group, One of the slaves very frightened speaks up his concern, angering [[Agron]], but later calmed down by [[Spartacus]]. Vitus is seen frightened too but later calmed by Spartacus's speech.

Vitus joins in with the other rebels as they take a Roman villa. He appears to [[File:Vitusdeath.gif|frame|Vitus is killed by Marcus in the [[Mines]].]]take part in the administrative details as [[Mira]] asks [[Chadara]] to find Vitus in order to see what supplies are available to be taken from the taken villa.

Vitus takes part in the mission to rescue [[Naevia]] from the mines. As he informs Spartacus that someone is approaching, he is stabbed through the back and killed by Marcus.

*Vitus is greek, but his name from the Latin word <nowiki>''</nowiki>vita" means life. Some consider Vitus as a romanization of the Germanic name Wido, which traditionally is attributed to the old high German ''widu'' (wood).
*Vitus' name was shouted during Crixus' Funeral by one of the rebels in order to honour him.
*As a normal house-slave, Vitus may have been ''Baiulus'',  ''or porter.''
