Character Outline[]

The Jackal's exact nature is unclear. Some say he was a demon. Others say he was once a man, cast out and driven to feral madness. In any case, he roamed the woods somewhere in Italy, instilling fear in the surrounding towns and villages. There were many rumors about him, such as that he could walk through walls, see in the dark, and had claws the size of a dragon's. Such stories were all that was known of him, as none had seen him firsthand and lived to tell the tale.

Appearance[]

The Jackal looks more beast than man with dark, unkept hair and sharp canine teeth.

Synopsis[]

The Jackal was a figure of unknown origin who roamed the woods around a roman town, preying on the inhabitants who strayed too far from civilization. Though he was feral and bloodthirsty by nature, the sight and smell of the lovely, young Abelia Gargan aroused a different sort of hunger in him. One day, while she was bathing, the lustful Jackal broke in and violently took her in her own home. As he was relishing in his pleasure, Abelia grabbed a piece of pottery and managed to wounded him in the eye. Then, while the Jackal stood moaning in agony, she took up her husband's spear and dealt the creature his deathstroke.

Abelia burned the Jackal's remains and washed herself, hoping to erase all memory of the beast. But, to her horror, she later discovered that his seed had taken hold. Though she had survived his attack, she died giving birth to his two bestial sons.
