Speculations of The End.[]

I have a suspicion that either Spartacus, his army, most of his army even without him, or whatever, may survive and escape the Romans at the end of the season. This show, as Steven S. Deknight admits, is grounded in history, but doesn't follow history too closely. So maybe they will make a more obvious change to history if the rebel cause successfully evacuates from Italy. And maybe, in this situation, the Cilician Castus could be a key to this happening. With the treacherous Heracleo now dead, his fleet may be hanging around off Sinuessa wondering what happened to their captain. If the rebels were to somehow survive the upcoming assault and escaped from the mountain, Castus might have enough influence among the remaining Cilician crews to help with the final departure of the rebels.

That's an interesting one, I haven't thought of that. It would also work in establishing Castus as a leader of sorts, as historically he was, and also could show how after the escape the mountains they would enter a true field battle. Malferter (talk) 14:15, March 12, 2013 (UTC)
