An unnamed boy is the newborn son of Spartacus and Ilithyia.
Character Outline[]
This unnamed child is the illegitimate child of Spartacus and Ilithyia, who was conceived on the night of a secret masked liaison organized by Lucretia. Spartacus believed that Ilithyia was Licinia, while Ilithyia believed that Spartacus was Crixus.
Blood and Sand[]
Lucretia arranged for Ilithyia to supposedly meet with Crixus at the latter's request. Lucretia instead tricked Spartacus into sleeping with Ilithyia in a ply for revenge against her wealthy friend. The child was conceived while the two were unaware of each others true identities.
Vengeance[]
Ilithyia's son was born the night Spartacus and his rebel army fought and overcame Glaber's legionnaires
on the slopes of Vesuvius. Lucretia, believing that the child was a gift from the gods to the House of Batiatus to fill the void left by her own dead child, cut him from Ilithyia's womb before throwing herself and the infant over the cliff. Lucretia embraced him as her own son, hoping to bring him to her husband Quintus Batiatus in the afterlife.
Trivia[]
- Glaber never found out that Ilithyia's child was Spartacus's son, although Spartacus mentioned and implied it.
- It is also unknown if this child is truly Spartacus's son.
- He is the youngest character in the series, as well as the youngest character to be killed on-screen.
