The Old Arena served Capua as a battleground for gladiators, before construction of the new arena.
About[]
This arena featured in Gods of the Arena as the original arena before the Capua Arena was constructed. During this season there was mention of a new arena under construction which was to be funded by Tullius.
The old arena was very small in comparison and was made mostly out of wood. Due to the small size the spectators were very close to the action which meant they were in danger of getting hit by weapons during battle. One spectator lost the tips of his fingers by the swing of a sword, another fell onto the sand during the fight between Crixus and Auctus. However she was able to climb back into the stands out of harm's way before she could suffer any harm.

Trivia[]
- Despite the Old Arena becoming obsolete at the end of Gods of the Arena (Around 79 BC, given the timeline of the series, and Gods of the Arena taking place 5 years before Blood and Sand), the old Arena wouldn't become obsolete until Capua's amphitheater was constructed around 100 AD.
