Jai Courtney was born to Chris and Karen Courtney and raised in Sydney, Australia. His mother worked at the primary school he attended, and his father was employed at an electric company owned by the state.
Career[]
He is best known as Varro in the hit series Spartacus: Blood and Sand, and has had the lead role in Packed to the Rafters, a guest lead in All Saints, and recently played the role of John Mclane Jr. in A Good Day to Die Hard. He also appeared in Jack Reacher, opposite Tom Cruise.
Personal Life[]
Jai had dated actress Gemma Pranita from 2006 to 2014, and after playing Varro in Spartacus, he and lead role Andy Whitfield became best friends. He stayed close to Whitfield until his death in 2011, and was hit hard by it. He is still on close terms with Whitfield's wife and children.
