The House of the Winged Cock is a brothel in the city of Neapolis owned by the Lady Successa.
Swords and Ashes[]
Slaves from the House of the Winged Cock were on loan to the House of Pelorus to entertain guests at a dinner party on the night of Pelorus’ death. Later the new owner Pelorus' house, the recently freed gladiator Timarchides, rents additional slaves from Successa since all Pelorus' household slaves had been sentenced to death for the uprising.
Quintus Lentulus Batiatus took interest one of these loaned slaves dancing while at the cena libera and travels to the brothel to acquire her services. However, Successa convinces him to have her instead but is interrupted by an assassination attempt which is foiled by Batiatus' body guards Spartacus and Barca.
