You are missing my personal favorite, Spartacus VS Crassus lol
Yes but thats the thing for me, barring creative liberties we all knew how the whole thing would ultimately end. I'd like to see a fresh series with fictional characters based off the historical one like the children of Spartacus/Ganicous where they are allowed full creative freedom. Hell they could even throw in Varros son as a potential villian since there is no one living to tell him of his father and spartys relationship. Thus his whole cycle of hatred and vengence is based on second hand propaganda and the only thing he knows for sure is that Spartacus killed his father and had a hand in his mother's death.
I mean is 7 years long enough for a reboot? Lord knows we have enough of them already ad nauseam. For the sake of not tarnishing the late great Andy Whitfields role which is his legacy and Liam McIntyres masterful handling of such massive shoes to fill in portraying Spartacus, I am vehemently against a reboot. Not only for them but the entire cast whom filled each of their roles perfectly. Near every reboot that has ever been made don't come close to the original and end up being a cash grab.
Having said all that I would actually love a revival or spin off of the series, perhaps something along the lines of the children of Spartacus and/or Gannicus since they laid with leta and sybil just before the final battle. That way the story would not be so tightly bound to historic events.
I also would not be against a spin off based on Ceasar and Crassus as John Hannah and Lucy Lawless proved, villains can carry the series on their own and both crassus and ceasars actors played their roles brilliantly.
