I do wish Hamilcar had lived longer, he was an interesting character and it would have been nice to know more about him. Especially since he was one of the first people to join the rebellion. I don't Naevia, Hamilcar, or Barca are related to each other in the show, but it is interesting that the writers chose to give all of them names from the real-life Hannibal's family. I think it's probably because those were common names for people with Carthaginian or Phoenician ancestry. It could also be because the Romans gave new names to slaves so that they would lose their identity, and the Romans used those names because they were common.
